Comfortably tropical with tradewinds blowing most of the year.
January - Hot, humid, but never unpleasant. Chance of heavy gales or tropical cyclones.
February - Same as January. Temperatures in the low 80’s F, 26 C.
March - A bit of February and a bit of April.
April - Still hot but rains slow down. Moving into the best period when sunshine is the general rule.
May - Best, coolest drier fine sunny days, cooler nights. Suva average temperature 82F/27C.
June - Best, same as May.
July - Best, generally the same as June but possibly drier with temperatures in the low 70F/21C. (Locals complain of cold)
August - Best, still pretty dry - Could expect heavy down-pours.
September - Much like August.
October - Best, generally fine as to temperature. Light showers.
November - Good.
December - Hot humid rainy weather begins. Leads into period when occasional heavy South East winds are possible. Average 85F/29.4C
Type of Weather - Tradewind tropical. N0 real extremes. Always hot by day but never excessive, always cooler by night, mostly a pleasant comfortable climate.
Temperature - Usually in Mid 80’s F/26C by day, low 70s F/21C by night. Daytime rarely above 90F/32C.
Humidity - In the 70's, with mornings and evenings more sticky, but year around sea breezes usually temper the humidity.
Pattern - Tropical showers all year round, but heavy to heavier down-pours from December to April, when it can rain for whole day or seven days, even then though there are always dry and sunny spells. Fiji has even been known to have droughts. Note Nadi and Lautoka area is drier than the Suva area.
Comment - Exceptionally good weather for the tropics.
